Your First Visit
| What to Expect on Your First Visit Going to a new doctor for the first time can be uncomfortable. At Parks Chiropractic we go all out to make you feel that you've known us for years. The first part of the healing process is comfort and confidence in your new physician and staff. Lets walk through the initial visit process. |
| Reception When first you walk in the door you will be greeted by Inma, our office manager. She will ask you to fill out a patient information sheet. You may download the form here so that you can bring it in already filled out and save valuable time. (Download Intake Forms) She will also ask for your health insurance or auto insurance card so she can verify your coverage. If you have x-rays or MRIs from the hospital or another office make sure you bring them with you. |

History and Examination Next you will meet Dr. Parks. He will first go over your medical history and your current complaints. If he feels that you are a chiropractic patient he will perform a through examination not unlike what you would get at your medical doctors. The focus however will be on reflexes, range of motion, orthopedic testing and so forth. If X-rays are indicated he will discuss this with you. Parks Chiropractic has a full X-ray facility for your convenience. Other studies may also be ordered. |
| Report Of Findings On your second visit you will watch a short video to familiarize you with chiropractic and your spine. Then Dr. Parks will sit down with you and review the examination findings and discuss your x-rays. Together you will decide on a course of treatment designed to give you quick relief and long lasting correction to your conditions. |

Treatment Begins After a course of treatment is agreed upon care will begin. Rest assured that Dr. Parks is very gentle but even more so during the first few visits. Theses initial treatments let you get used to Dr. Parks and let Dr. Parks get use to the unique way your body works. Along with chiropractic adjustments various types of physiotherapy may be utilized depending on your condition. |
| Exercise & Rehabilitation Exercise and rehabilitation are critical portions of the care and treatment of many injuries and conditions. Parks Chiropractic has a large exercise and rehabilitation center that can meet the needs of a wide variety of patients. Dr. Parks individually prepares and explains each exercise program personally. He also teaches patients home exercises which are so important to the healing process and to maintaining improvements made during treatment. |

Our Office Our office is located at 6415 1st Avenue South. The Parking is in the rear. Simply enter the alley between Central Avenue and 1st Avenue south across from Gross Funeral Home. We are the second building on the left. Follow the side walk around to the entrance in the front. |
